Joining & The SignUp Process

  • I have just joined. What now?

    Sit tight. You should have received a confirmation email and receipt of payment. Found in that email are further instructions.

  • I have not received my confirmation email?

    You should have received all of your membership and public liability documents within 24 hours of becoming a member! It is very possible that our emails have mistakenly found their way into your junk folders and not your regular inbox, so maybe have a look there first. Failing that, contact us using this PAGE and we will be in touch ASAP!

  • What information do I need to give in order to become a member?

    During the signup process, we will ask you for your name, your business name, your email address and mailing address, and payment information. That’s it! Rest assured we do not share or sell any of your data!

  • How do I pay for membership?

    You can pay using our secure online payment form with any major credit or debit card

  • What happens after I sign-up for membership?

    Once you have completed the online membership form and your payment has been processed, our office elves will send you an email confirming your sign up.  After that, usually within 24 hours, you will receive another email that contains your certificate of public liability coverage.

  • I am a new member. Can I access all of the membership benefits immediately?

    Yes! Once you have become a member, you should receive an email that contains your membership number which is valid immediately.

  • I want to pay for my membership with DirectDebit, is this possible?

    Unfortunately, DirectDebit is not supported at this time.

The Stallholders Club Membership

  • Where can I find my membership number?

    Your membership number is at the top of your public liability coverage certificate and in the subject line of your joining confirmation email.

  • How do I verify that a business holder’s membership is valid?

    To check that a person’s membership and public liability coverage is still valid, third parties can contact us using by visiting

  • Do I receive a receipt with my membership subscription?

    Yes. A receipt is automatically emailed to you upon successful signup.

  • Will you share my data with third parties?

    No! We care firstly about your businesses success and we do not believe selling personal information is going to help that cause.

  • Where can I read the full terms and conditions of membership?

  • What additional insurance should I consider if I sell food?

    To protect your business from claims against you while selling food, we recommend you also purchase product liability insurance. Unfortunately, the Stallholders Club does not provide product liability insurance.

  • How do I update my contact details after becoming a member?

    You can update your contact details anytime by visiting

  • Is there a directory of members to whom I can promote my business?

    No! We take out members’ data and privacy rights seriously and have made it impossible for third parties to access such.

  • I need employee liability insurance. Can you help?

    Employee liability insurance is a very serious matter and should not be taken lightly. We advise all members who have employees or casual workers to contact the legal advice team to find out more about their legal obligations towards their employees. Unfortunately The Stallholders Club does not sell employee liability insurance.

Complimentry Stallholders Public Liability Coverage

  • How do I file a claim made against me or another member?

    Only an injured party may file a claim against the insured party. Initial claim notifications can be filed by visiting

  • What protection or insurance do I need for my market or craft stall?

    Most event organisers require stallholders to have at least £1,000,000 public liability insurance to cover members of the public or fellow stallholders in the event of injury. All of our members are given £5,000,000 complementary stallholders public liability coverage.

  • Is the coverage valid in Northern Ireland?

    Yes! Our membership and complementary public liability coverage is valid in all of the United Kingdom.

  • What is public liability coverage?

    Public liability coverage is your protection if you are found to be legally responsible for personal injury to a third party or damage to their property.

  • How much does my policy cover me for?

    The limit of your policy is £5,000,000. GBP.

  • Where is my membership and public liability coverage valid?

    Your Stallholders Club membership goes wherever you do. However, your complementary public liability coverage will only cover you and your business in the mainland UK including Northern Ireland and the Isle of Wight, excluding the Channel Islands.

  • What does the complementary public liability protection cover?

    Your policy covers you against the financial consequences of bodily injury or property damage which arise from your activities as you go about your business. It does NOT include damage caused by your products or services.

  • What is not covered by my public liability coverage?

    If you have employees, contractors, casual workers or temporary staff, you are required by law to take out employers’ liability insurance. It will cover claims from employees who have been injured or become seriously ill as a result of working for you. This level of coverage is not included in your Stallholders Club membership.

    The public liability insurance provided to members does not include personal accident insurance which covers you against serious injury, or even death – paying out for the likes of lost income and medical costs.

  • Do I have to pay an excess if a public liability claim is filed against me?


  • Does my membership and policy cover special projects, events, or productions which I organize?

    No. Your policy only covers your direct business activities.
